Ashley Wendt, M.A., LMFT is a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 128374), a Florida Telehealth Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (TLHT LMFT 1658) and a Clinical Supervisor in the practice. Ashley received her Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles, with a specialization in trauma. She has a wide range of clinical experience, working with adults, adolescents and couples of all backgrounds to address trauma, personality issues, interpersonal conflict, issues related to attachment, life transitions, grief, eating disorders, and mood regulation. Ashley also has experience with high conflict families and couples, and has worked with family law cases to provide reunification therapy.

Ashley received comprehensive psychodynamic training at The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, working in depth with adults and couples. Ashley pursued further psychodynamic training and received a certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from The Psychoanalytic Center of California. Ashley also trained in childhood development at Early Childhood Development Associates, and worked in a dual diagnosis treatment center, providing treatment to adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Ashley works from an analytically informed psychodynamic perspective, exploring how our pasts have shaped our present relationships with ourselves and others. She believes that insight creates change, fostering a greater sense of personal agency by way of making known what was previously unconscious.  Ashley understands that the relationship between therapist and client is paramount, and has healing potential as a microcosm for the client’s broader relational experience. Thus, she is committed to creating an inclusive and safe space for each client’s unique emotional exploration.
